My doodles, trying to come up with a good monster.
Twenty pandas all in a row!
This is actually a phrase i often repeat to myself to calm down when something infuriates me to the point where I am ready to throw a chair across the room. Just like Cayce Pollard of William Gibson’s book ‘Pattern Recognition’ (Great book actually, highly recommended if you’re a nerd/designer like me), who repeats ‘He took a duck in the face at one-hundred-and-fifty knots’, the pandas work like magic on me.
Sorry for the week of non-posting. I have been really busy with our second market stall at Rose Street Artist Market and have been working on a new kids book with my partner Mungo. But Valentine’s day is coming and I have been keeping up my attendance at Swing Patrol, and watching Boardwalk Empire when I have the time, and been really getting into Katie Louise-Ford’s blog a lot…so here’s one inspired by all these things mentioned above..
Here are some of the sketches I did a few weeks ago while on holiday in Indonesia, where there were not much else to do but eat, sleep and draw, draw, draw.
